Email archiving without the
price tag.
Policy Patrol Archiver offers low cost email archiving for Exchange and
Lotus Domino, allowing users as well as Administrators to easily
retrieve and restore messages.

Email archiving to SQL, SQL Express or MSDE
Policy Patrol archives messages into Microsoft SQL server when they are
sent and received. If the SQL server is down, Policy Patrol will
temporarily save the messages until they can be written to the archive.
In this way, no messages can be missing from the archive. If you prefer
not to invest in SQL Server, you can also use SQL Server Express or MSDE
at no additional cost.
Additional backup
Policy Patrol Archiver can be used as an additional backup method; if
disaster strikes, your last Exchange backup tape is not likely to be any
more recent than yesterday’s emails. However, with email archiving
enabled, Policy Patrol will provide you with a backup of all emails sent
and received right up until the last minute. In this way you will never
have to lose a single email again. In addition, Policy Patrol allows
users to retrieve messages that were deleted by mistake.
Retrieve & restore emails
Users can easily retrieve and restore their own emails by using the
Email Restore client that adds into Microsoft Outlook. Users can search
for words in the body and subject, email addresses and attachment names.
Advanced searches can be made using the Boolean strings AND, OR, AND
NOT.
Administrators can search, retrieve and restore messages via the
Administration console. You can also configure the program to
automatically purge emails older than x number of days, months or years
from the database.
Archiving for Exchange 2003, Exchange 2000,
Exchange 5.5 and Lotus Domino
Policy Patrol offers email archiving for Exchange 2003, Exchange 2000
and Exchange 5.5 (or Windows Small Business Server), Lotus Domino
R5/R6/R7, Lotus Notes and any other SMTP mail server.
User licensing
Policy Patrol Archiver licensing is not based on users, there is just
one unlimited user licence.
System requirements
To start archiving with Policy Patrol you require the following:

Microsoft Windows
2000 Professional or (Advanced) Server, Windows XP Professional
or Windows Server 2003.

Microsoft Exchange
2000, Exchange 2003 or Exchange 5.5 (or Windows Small Business
Server), Lotus Domino R5/R6/R7, Lotus Notes or other mail
server.

Microsoft .NET
Framework 1.1 (if you do not have this installed you can
download Policy Patrol with the .NET Framework).

Microsoft SQL
Server, SQL Server Express or MSDE.
